Plans for a unique building project in Hong Kong have been released, showing that cargo containers could be used as removable rooms within a single structure, by the architects Ova Studio
Offering maximum flexibility and mobility, the ‘Hive Inn’ project in Hong Kong is a hotel structure with a difference – allowing containers to travel ‘in and out’ of its main building.
The hotel’s plan envisions possibilities for applications such as emergency housing or medical care units, and the rooms can be shipped to whatever location is required – and used for multiple functions such as offices, leased to various individuals or companies who temporarily need space.
